Every Commission takes over 35 hours of meticulous work and dedication.
We lost two cats in 2023. Our lovely Aggy was very old and we knew she didn't have long. But Snowy? He was young and enjoying his furever rescue home. Sadly only 12 he suddenly went into cardiac distress. I dashed him to the vet where he was scanned immediately and they discovered that he had a tumour growing on his heart, there was already significant re-modelling and his little body could no longer cope. And suddenly, Snowy was gone.
I was absolutely devastated, beyond distraught at his loss.  Even as I write this, tears stream down my face, honestly.
To bring me some peace from crying, I sat down and painted his portrait. I knew when it was finished because when I looked at his portrait, I started to cry again.  His portrait hangs on my wall and when I look at it, it brings me enormous pleasure, comfort and memories of my beautiful boy.

  • A4 approx* 24x30cm - £260 incl UK p&p
    (Non-UK p&p extra - any import charges are purchasers responsibility)
  • Extra cat/dog/complex background on painting is additional £120
  • Extra Simple background is an additional £80.
  • DEPOSIT - A 40% non-returnable deposit is required to secure your booking.
  • Updates are provided regularly during process and final proof on completion.
  • FULL BALANCE MUST be paid before the finished work is posted.
  • Mounting on request otherwise unmounted and unframed.

PHOTOGRAPHS
  1. One or two high quality, bright, clear, high definition photographs are needed.
  2. They should preferably be photos you took yourself.
  3. If taken by someone else, a note from the original photographer is required giving me permission to use the photo as a reference.
  4. All completed portraits are original pieces of art ©Pamela Clingan, remain her copyright and may be used by Pamela Clingan for marketing, cards, posters and competitions unless specifically requested not to be used. Terms & Conditions

MATERIALS
  1. Portraits are painted in Soft Pastels & Pastel pencils - Light fast.
  2. Pastels are painted on specialist media Canson Touch, Clairefontaine pastelmat, or specialist cloth/paper/card.

FRAMING, CARE and HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS
  • Mounts and frames: best chosen by you, so you can choose your favourite mount colour and frame.
  • Please do not let framer spray/lacquer the image as it will alter colours.
  • Portraits need space around them so again please ensure framers leave plenty of space between image and the mount.
  • Artwork should only be placed behind anti-UV glass, kept out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources such as radiators, as this will definitely harm portraits over time.  Works must have a gutter or spacer mount to stop transfer onto the glass and allow dust to drop behind it rather than build up in the frame.
  • Artwork should not be touched at all, as the work will be damaged. Please keep any specialist glassine paper on top until framed by professional framer. Some paper/card does not have glassine.

BOOKING FORM








Payment of a deposit assumes acceptance of these terms.

  • All artwork is original and created by the artist Pamela Clingan.
  • All copyright, media use and reproduction rights are retained by the Pamela Clingan.
  • If media/photographs are provided by a 3rd Party ie a friend or a professional photographer, the client must provide a note from the 3rd party allowing their photograph to be used as said below.
  • Any reproduction or similar use of the artwork must be agreed with the artist in advance.
  • Bookings are not confirmed until a 40% non-refundable deposit is paid.
  • During the painting process, photos of progress may be sent to the client from time to time.
  • Once completed the artist will send an image of the completed work. At point of completion, full payment is expected within 30 days and before the artwork is sent out. Please note if the outstanding balance has not been received, the artwork will not be sent out.
  • If after 30 days, payment has not been received, then the artist reserves the right to sell on the original artwork and any future reproductions.
  • Good quality reference photos must be provided prior to booking, so these can be checked for suitability.
  • Clients are responsible for any/all customs/import charges or any other charges incurred from shipping or postage.

 
We take your privacy seriously and only use your personal information to provide the products and services you have requested. We are the data controller in respect of any personal data we collect about you and we monitor our data protection compliance.
What information we collect
The personal information we collect may include name, email address, home address and telephone numbers ie for the VIP Club.
We may use your personal information & data in the following ways
To administer your commission/purchases, send you emails or call you in relation to this.
Sensitive personal data
We do not collect sensitive personal data such as racial or ethnic origin, nationality, religious beliefs, etc.  You do not need to provide us with personal information to browse our website.
Opt-Out
Please note that it is not possible to ‘opt-out’ of receiving communication from us which relates to your purchase. If you decide you no longer wish to be a member of the VIP Club, please send me an email requesting removal.
Non-disclosure to third parties
We do not share your data with any other company for marketing purposes.  We may share your data with agencies such as law enforcement or governmental organisation where we are required to make such disclosures by any applicable law.   If and when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service.
Our website includes social media features such as the ‘Facebook Like button’.  These features, such as Google Analytics, may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly.  Social media features and widgets are hosted by a third party.  Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.
Retaining personal information
We retain personal information about you for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law.  Where you information is no longer required, we will ensure it is disposed of in a secure manner.
How we use Cookies
